Vice Mayor Rosalita “Nanay Lita” Nuñez officially receives the initial batch of books from Celia C. Cruz, Senior Librarian of the Ortigas Foundation Library Incorporated on Wednesday, October 19. The donated books will be used for the planned Barangay Reading Centers of the Vice Mayor’s Office (VMO) to support Nanay Lita’s Reading Readiness Advocacy. During the donation, Vice Mayor Nuñez also toured the Ortigas Foundation Library including their rare books section, map collections, and book restoration section. “It’s incredible what they do here. I hope more children would learn to love reading. All great leaders are great readers,” Nanay Lita said. The Vice Mayor is both an educator and an avid reader.
